Chaparral 5th Grader Wins Essay Contest!
Congratulations to Rohan Shivaram, from Mr. Dahl's class, for winning Claremont's Making Change contest in the 5th Grade Division. Over 500 entries were submitted from students in grades K-12 from across the district and only one winner was selected from each grade level.
All winners, along with their families and teachers were invited to a special reception at city hall on February 26th, where Mayor Joe Lyons and School Board Member Hilary Laconte presented awards. Rohan's winning essay was about the life and influence of the Dalai Lama. Chaparral is proud to be represented by Rohan and his exceptional writing. Keep up the great work, roadrunners!
