Kara Evans announced as the new director of educational technology and innovation

We are thrilled to announce that Kara Evans was officially approved by the Board of Education last night to serve as the Director of Educational Technology & Innovation!

Kara has been a dedicated member of our Claremont USD family for 20 years, excelling in various roles and positively impacting countless lives. From teaching English at CHS, where she made life-changing connections with her students, to serving as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) in Educational Services and later as our Educational Technology TOSA, Kara has been a constant force of innovation and inspiration. Her leadership in professional development, iPad integration, and Learning Management System implementation has greatly advanced our district.

Most recently, Kara served as Coordinator of Educational Technology and spent last year as our Interim Director of Technology, proving her exceptional skills and passion for educational innovation. With a BA in Communications and Broadcast Television and a Master’s in Education from the University of La Verne, along with an Administrative Services Credential from LACOE, Kara is well-equipped to lead us forward.

Recognized with the Golden Apple Award, Teacher of the Year, and the ACSA Region 15 Promising Administrator Award, Kara’s dedication to CUSD is unmatched. We are proud to have her continue her journey with us in this pivotal role!
